School Vision

Guffey is a place of learning and service that nurtures the light of the individual spirit by treasuring our countryside, the classroom, and the community, both local and global, in an atmosphere of safety, kindness, and joy.

Over the summer, Guffey School built an observatory and installed a pair of large telescopes. You can follow the new link in the navigation bar on the left to learn about this amazing resource. You can also learn about what's up in our night sky this month. Join us on Thursday, September 27 at 5:00 pm for our First Light Potluck. Chris Peterson will give a short talk about the observatory and its construction, then we'll dedicate it and give folks a chance to peek through the eyepiece.
