2023/2024 Community Events
The school is a focal point for the Guffey community. While the ends policies adopted by the School Board naturally focus on the students, they also encourage the use of the school by the entire community. The following events are sponsored by the school but are intended to involve the everyone.
Open House, October 11
Join us for classroom presentations by staff and students outlining the year's curricula. There may be food!
Halloween, October 26
1pm costume contest at Mountain Aries, followed at 2:30pm by the annual Halloween Parade around town.
Veterans Day Event, November 9
An annual student production featuring original performances and traditional songs, celebrating our veterans. The entire town is invited.
Winter Program, December 21
An annual student production featuring original performances and traditional holiday songs, food, and festivities. Santa will be handing out gifts to Guffey children. The entire town is invited.
Annual Pie-Palooza, May 9
Guffey School's annual pie contest/auction and student presented melodrama. The fun starts at 4pm, and is free. Watch the Administrator's message section on the home page for details as this date approaches. Note: this date is tentative. We are exploring the possibility of holding this event in late autumn, or in February.
Graduation and Awards, May 30
It's always standing room only as the school sends its 8th graders out into the bigger world. Students from preschool through 8th grade will receive awards for their work during the year. Afterwards, join us for lunch.
